Here are some more pics from my trip to Portlandia. Jash had Sunday off and we had a splendid day exploring. We drove around various districts looking for the perfect place to have lunch and a good local beer. After a couple hours of driving and a few minutes of bickering (I get irritable when I'm hungry- another senior citizen aspect of my personality) we settled on
The Doug Fir. We ended up lounging there all afternoon enjoying happy hour dirty martinis and playing with Jash's new IPad. We used it to book our anniversary trip to 29 Palms while we enjoyed our drinks. Pretty pretty cool.
We copied the recipe for a good night that we perfected in
Solvang and got a baguette, tomatoes, goat cheese and wine and went back to our room to enjoy the view of the Columbia River. Oh sweet simplicity...
We are currently enjoying the aforementioned anniversary trip to 29 Palms We're staying at the
Harmony Motel which is cool beyond words. Many photos coming soon.
