Creature of Comfort

Wore this on a dinner date with the bf in Carlsbad over the weekend. I had originally planned on switching things up and wearing something uncharacteristically sexy but when it came time to put on my 5 inch heeled booties and form-fitting black number I just wasn't feeling it. So I threw on no less than two layers and switched out my hoochie footwear for my tired but comfy riding boots. Sorry Jash...

This is This and That is That

Last but not least from San Fransisco. I'm not gonna lie, looking through all the photos from this sweet and simple trip is giving me that warm, fuzzy so-happy-I-could-break-into-song kinda feeling.

In the Mission

Spent one of our San Fran days in the Mission District, Fabiana's hood. I'd say it's San Fran's equivilant of Echo Park. Live music on the streets, colorful murals adorning the walls, and some seriously cheap and fruitful thrift stores....I like. We did what apparently everyone else in a 10 mile radius of the area does on a sunny day- got beers and snacks and lounged in Dolores Park. Then we went to a hidden gem of a venue for a record release. Live music and dancing to some funky old school soul ensued followed by chinese takeout making this one of the most epic days of my life. The quote of the night was, "I'm so happy, I feel like I'm on E." :)

lemme guess- Julian Casablancas??
two peas, one pod

Contemplating whether or not it was worth $10. It sure was and now it's all mine.

She matched every mural in that pretty little skirt of hers
I'm a sucker for friendship bracelets! What a lovely way to remember the day...

Erin's cool cat of a BF, Willie, performing quality control on one of my pieces :)

You can listen to some of the music we were grooving to here. Have a great weekend, my friends! I'm off to Carlsbad to enjoy Fall's very Summer weather with Jashy :)

I Got Two Turbans And A Microphone

I'm having some technical difficulties uploading the rest of my trip photos. So, here's the single best shot of the trip to keep you occupied in the meantime. Fabi unknowingly sat in the best seat possible for breakfast at Erin's...

Sweet San Fran

As expected, it was a great trip. The weather was absurdly beautiful and sunny as evidenced by the surprise appearance of my cut-off shorts. Love those guys. So many highlights, but the hands down best part of the trip was getting to spend more than a few short hours with lovely Erin, one of my oldest and bestest friends. Between work, relationships and our generations terrible telefonic skills its been ages since we've had quality catching up. So three days of hanging with her in the city was quite a treat. Mostly we ate a lot and laughed at the same things we found funny in 7th grade.  A good time in my book...

More shots to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!!

Let Your Juvenile Impulses Sway

Another slightly dated post. This one reminds me of my middle school days when I went through a brief and ridiculous phase of dressing like a raver- JNCO's, pacifier necklaces and various neon things were the name of my game. Those were the days. Psych.

jeans: Gap, shoes: Steve Madden, top: dosa, vest:vintage, shades: vintage, necklaces: self-designed, bracelets: assorted vintage and self-designed, hot pink feather: taken from vintage hat

San Fransisco....here we come! I spent way too long planning my outfits last night. Unsurprisingly, I'm taking more jewelry than articles of clothing. I finally got wise and started using a proper jewelry carry case instead of throwing all my baubles into a clutch and untangling them after arriving at my destination. This should have happened long ago. Well, I'm signing off for the weekend. Hope you all have a very very good one :)

With Our Legs On The Edge And Our Feet On The Horizon

Still lazy, still no new outfit posts. So here are some photos from our trip to Italy earlier this Summer that I never got around to posting. Figured I'd squeeze them in before the Summer officially ends. We got an all day boat pass while in Venice and hopped on the first departing boat without knowing where it was headed. We landed on Lido Beach, bought some swimsuits and towels from a sidewalk vendor and enjoyed an afternoon alongside the Mediterranean Sea.

Worry not, I will have plenty of more current posts soon as Danielle and I are headed to San Fran this weekend to visit two of our bestest friends, Erin and Fabiana. There will surely be plenty of photo ops in such a pretty city and I'm certain my current lazy spell will retire upon my arrival.

Thanks for reading, friends ;)
