Shake Your Tailfeather

I had to share these amazing shots from my gorgeous friend Paola's Samba dance recital on Saturday at the Heartbeat House in Atwater Village.  I'm not sure how she'll feel about me sharing these...she is wearing a sparkly thong bikini with feathers attached to her bum, after all. But anyone that can pull of that costume at this time of year when most people (re: me) are putting on their winter warmth weight should be proud, no?

Q is for Quail

Sadly Quail, one of my favorite lines, is calling it quits after years of making the most original and adorable clothes. Times are tough. The bright side of this dismal situation was the going out of business sale the line had on Saturday. I went to town. No joke. I still might make some purchases on their website and get as much as I can before it's all gone forever. Here's the outfit I planned around my new Quail purchases for a couple Holiday parties over the weekend...
