Senora Draper

Paola gave me season one of Mad Men on dvd for my recent bday and I have swiftly become obsessed. I know I'm a little late to the party, but at least I have 2 whole seasons to look forward to :) I just can't stop thinking about the show. It's left me with an intense desire to dress like a fifties housewife and smoke cigarettes and drink scotch. Yesterday I chose the healthiest of these desires and donned a Betty Draper meets Frida Kahlo ensemble to Dominica's bday party...

Artsy Fartsy

Some avant gardeesque shots courtesy of Jash. he's gotten quite proffessional with his photography...

I've had one of the most productive weekends of my adulthood, complete with car wash, laundry, visiting grandma, mailing birthday presents, preparing my long overdue taxes and meeting with my friend Yannick about redesigning my website. wowzers. Today, however, I'm going to squeeze in some fun and go to my good friend Dominca's birthday party at La Cita. Build your own bloody mary's. yum.

Hope y'all enjoy your Sunday :)

Love Is A Rose

This outfit got infinitely less cool once I "workified" it. Basically, this meant 86-ing the hat and replacing pictured biker-ish jacket with a very conservative Banana Republic cardigan. In no time at all I went from sweet n sassy to straight up sweet...

Everytime I Come Around Yo City

Yea yea, finally worked on some new bling over the weekend. I channeled the remnant inspiration from our European vacay and turned out some pretty and simple pieces that are quite different than the Mr. T inspired creations I normally bust out.

Aaaand I finally used some of that yarn I dyed way back when.

The shop isn't up on my website yet so if you see something you like or wanna see more pics shoot me an email at sheva@shevaschuck.com :)

Baez Necklace $80 (tiger's eye, smokey quartz, ivory tusk, crystal rhinestones, vintage flower)
Sur Necklace $60 (hand-dyed yarn, waxed linen wrapping, vintage eagle casting)
Temple Necklace $80 (antique gold-dipped leaf pendant, hand-enameled bead, crystal rhinestones)
Wanderlust Bracelet $110 (various antique charms, olive jade, amethyst, amazonite, sodalite, cherry quartz, carnelian)

Up And Away

Along with all things Americana, bangs, and Swedish footwear, balloons are topping my list of obsession-worthy interests. Maybe it's my inner child or the fact that I recently and finally watched Up (omg omg so good!!). whatever it is, I just love 'em (in case you didn't figure it out after this post and this post) So when I discovered The Hot Ballon Blog I literally squealed with excitement. Literally. Someone else loves balloons as much as I do!! Actually, much much more than I do. This entire blog is dedicated to the fantabulous, happy-inducing inflatables. And these ones make my heart smile:

Beachy Keen

Better late than never...these are some shots from my bday at the beach. Apologies for being so awful about posting photos in a timely manner...Remember how I said I wanted a simple day with no big party and no crazy outfit? I lied. Well, half lied. There was no big party, but there most certainly was a crazy outfit. I may be the only Californian who wears costume jewelry to the beach. I just can't help myself...

Happy Happy Monday!!
