Some more shots from last weekend's trip to Lake Arrowhead with the gang. Most the weekend was spent killing time between meals. Aside from the food some highlights include winning Mafia (again!!), a brief trip into town with Dani to visit the local thrift shop, playing harmonica to Kevin's guitar strumming, a Snow White themed photo shoot (see below), and impromptu dance parties in the kitchen. These are my very favorite weekends...

News

So. That big change I was talking about...It's officially official and I can finally sing it from the rooftops (aka type it on my bloggity-blog). I got an amazing new job that will have me traveling to Ghana, West Africa to work with local jewelry artisans. More details to come as it all plays out. But I am so so so excited! The interview process was insanely long and intense and since patience has never been my strong suit it was a bit of a challenge to not go completely insane from anticipation. But alas, it was all worth while. Here are some pictures from the local bead markets in Ghana. This is my dream job :)

Hiatus

I'm slacking on the blog again, I know. Life has been a whirlwind lately and the possibility of some major change has been on my mind. I'm one of those people that refuses to get excited about something or really even believe it's going to happen until things are totally official. So, when they are 150% official I will very very happily share. I can tell you this- this potential change will dramatically affect the content of this here blog. So stay tuned :)

This would happen to me....Last Friday Dani and I were in a rush to leave my place and meet up with some friends to head to an art show Downtown. I couldn't decide between brown or black boots so I put on one of each and asked Dani which she preffered. She said brown and my sorry ass forgot to make the change and left the house wearing mismatched boots! It was far too late to do anything about it by the time I realized so I put on a brave face and tried to embrace it. I wanted to be cool and not let it bother me. And I actually managed to forget for most of the night, but the few times I looked down at my Punky Brewster inspired footwear I was pretty bummed. At least until I forgot again. I can laugh about it now. My only question is this: How on earth did Dani not catch this major faux pas?? She has some explaining to do...
